The official description of Consulting Hypnotism approved by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) is “Consulting Hypnotists help ordinary, everyday people with ordinary, everyday problems using individual hypnotic techniques.”

“The hypnotist basically guides the client into the state called hypnosis and teaches the client techniques that will allow the client to use his/her natural ability to change the way he/she thinks, feels or behaves.” (NGH).
