What is Hypnosis?

Let’s start for what hypnosis is not.

  • Is not being asleep.
  • Is not being immobile.
  • Is not diabolic.
  • Is not mental control.
  • Is not a special power only a few have.

So what is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state. Is a technique that can be learned.

Is it a natural stated of the mind in which we have access to the subconscious.

Every time you become very focused while reading a book, watching a movie you are in a natural hypnosis state.

In Hypnosis we used to talk about “sleeping” and “trance”. In reality these where term to explain something that had no explanation.  We know know there is no such trance, you are sleeping. We know that during Hypnosis we are in a state that is very similar to day dreaming.

Hypnosis is very similar to guide meditation. Very similar but not the same.

During Hypnosis the brain waves slow down. Alpha, 9-13 Hz. or Theta, 4-8 Hz.
